Shri Man Mohan Bhanot IFS presently Ambassador to Syria has been appointed as the next Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to the Republic of Equitorial Guinea. He will be the first resident Ambassador of India to the Republic of Equitorial Guinea. Shri Man Mohan Bhanot, is a Graduate of Science from University of Delhi, served in Life Insurance Corporation of India and United Bank of India.
Shri Bhanot has earlier served in different capacities in Moscow, Kampala, Madrid and Almaty, and in due process has acquired varied experience of the workings in a Diplomatic Mission. In his last assignment, he was Director and a Member of Professional Personnel in the CICA (Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia) Secretariat in Almaty. In recognition of his job here, he was awarded President of Kazakhstan’s Gold Medal.
Ambassador Bhanot has a leisure pursuit of rediscovering the ancient wisdom, and therefore loves to be in Syria, the cradle of civilizations. However, while in Syria, he deeply regrets for the ongoing turmoil and loss of lives in this beautiful country. He prays for the peaceful resolution of the crisis.
