Ch Sindu Sarma IPS appointed SP – CI Cell, Intelligence, Hyderabad
Ms Ch Sindu Sarma IPS (Telangana 2014), presently Joint Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Telangana, Hyderabad, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police (SP) – CI Cell, Intelligence, Hyderabad, Telangana, with additional charge of SP – SIB, Telangana, relieving Shri Y Sai Sekhar IPS (Telangana 2018).
An officer of the 2014 batch of the Indian Police Service, Ms Ch Sindu Sarma has served in important policing assignments in Telangana. Her present posting as Joint Director in the Anti-Corruption Bureau has provided her with experience in a specialised policing and investigative organisation dealing with matters relating to corruption prevention and enforcement.
With the latest transfer, Ms Sarma will take charge as SP, CI Cell, Intelligence, Hyderabad. The assignment places her in a key role within the intelligence and investigative framework of the Telangana Police.
She has also been given additional charge as SP, SIB, Telangana. The responsibility involves leadership and supervision of important intelligence-related police functions and requires coordination across various units and formations.
Her experience in the Anti-Corruption Bureau is expected to be valuable in her new assignment, particularly in handling investigative and supervisory responsibilities. The latest posting marks a shift from a specialised anti-corruption assignment to a senior responsibility in the Intelligence Department.
Ms Sarma’s appointment is part of the latest administrative changes in the Telangana Police. She succeeds Shri Y Sai Sekhar in the relevant responsibilities, while the broader reshuffle has also resulted in changes in several police formations and field assignments.
The new responsibility will provide her an opportunity to contribute her experience to the functioning of the Intelligence Department and its associated formations.
