Arun Kumar Gupta, a 1977 batch IPS officer,will be new Director General of Uttar Pradesh Police. Prior to his new assignment, Gupta held the post of Chairman and DG Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. Gupta succeeds A L Banerjee who has retired.
