N Swetha IPS appointed Commissioner of Police, Warangal, Telangana
Smt N Swetha IPS (Telangana 2012), presently Joint Commissioner of Police, Law and Order (L&O), North Range, Hyderabad City, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Warangal, Telangana, with additional charge of DIG – Zone-IV, Bhadradri, relieving Shri Sunpreet Singh IPS (Telangana 2011).
An officer of the 2012 batch of the Indian Police Service, Smt N Swetha has served in important policing assignments in Telangana. Her present role as Joint Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, North Range, Hyderabad City, involves supervision of law-and-order arrangements and coordination of policing operations in a major urban jurisdiction.
With the latest order, she has been entrusted with the leadership of the Warangal Police Commissionerate as Commissioner of Police. The assignment places her at the head of the police administration in one of Telangana’s important urban and regional jurisdictions.
In addition to her new posting, Smt Swetha has been given the additional charge of DIG, Zone-IV, Bhadradri. The zone comprises Kothagudem-Bhadradri, Khammam Police Commissionerate, Mahabubabad and Warangal Police Commissionerate.
The new responsibility will require close coordination across multiple districts and a police commissionerate, along with supervision of law-and-order and policing arrangements across the zone. Her experience in law-and-order administration in Hyderabad City is expected to be valuable in handling the responsibilities of her new assignment.
