Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North-Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh has informed that based on the recommendations in three year Action Agenda of NITI Aayog and the recommendations made by Sectoral Group of Secretaries (SGoS) in its report submitted in February, 2017, Government decided to undertake lateral recruitment of ten Joint Secretaries in ten identified Ministries/Departments, on contract basis, in order to achieve the twin objectives of bringing in fresh talent as well as augment the availability of manpower.
In response to the advertisement, 6077 applications have been received as on the last date of receipt of applications i.e. 30th July, 2018 till 05:00 PM IST. UPSC has been entrusted with the responsibility to undertake selection process. No appointments have been made so far.
