Mrs. Farida M Naik, serving as Deputy Secretary – Ministry of Mines, CGO New Delhi, is now promoted as Director Mines as per order dated Nov. 10, 2014. Mrs. Naik is part of Metal-IV team overlooking the operations of 3 Centres of Excellence set up for research in specialised areas, namely;
National Institute of Rock Mechanics (NIRM), Kolar Gold Fields
Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research Development and Design Centre, (JNARDDC) Nagpur; and
National Institute of Miners’ Health (NIMH), Nagpur.
