Shri Yurinder Singh IPS (Punjab 1999) presently DIG-cum-Joint Dir., MRS PPA, Phillaur, Punjab has been appointed as Additional Director- cum- IGP MRS PPA Phillaur, Punjab .
Shri Singh has done Master’s degree in Business administration (MBA). He remained posted as Sr. Supdt. of police Mansa, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar and Sr. Supdt. of Police, Jalandhar(Rural). On his induction to the Indian Police Services and promotion to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police, he remained posted as DIG Bathinda Range, DIG/Ludhiana Range and Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar. This is his second stint in Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur. He remained posted here as Deputy Director (Outdoor) earlier and presently he is holding charge as Addl. Director in the Training Academy.
Shri Singh has been decorated with Police Medal for Meritorious Service and two times of DGP Commendation Disk for his outstanding performance. Apart from the Police Service, he takes keen interest in sports activities and plays Golf and tennis. He is also giving his Service to the Punjab Basketball Association as Senior Vice-President.
