Y Sai Sekhar IPS transferred as SP – Railway Police, Secunderabad
Shri Y Sai Sekhar IPS (Telangana 2018), presently Superintendent of Police, SIB, Telangana, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police – Railway Police, Secunderabad, Telangana.
An officer of the 2018 batch of the Indian Police Service, Shri Y Sai Sekhar has served in important policing responsibilities in Telangana. In his present assignment as SP, SIB, Telangana, he has been associated with the supervision of intelligence-related police responsibilities.
With the latest transfer, Shri Sai Sekhar will take charge as Superintendent of Police, Railway Police, Secunderabad. The assignment places him in charge of police administration and security-related responsibilities within the railway police jurisdiction.
Railway policing involves coordination with railway authorities, security agencies and other law-enforcement formations to ensure the safety and security of passengers, railway infrastructure and railway premises. The assignment also requires effective supervision of policing arrangements across a busy transportation network.
