India Bureaucracy PSU Vacancy | Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) was incorporated as a 100% subsidiary of Coal India Limited under the Indian Companies Act, 1956 with the objective to produce and market the planned
quantity of coal and coal products efficiently and economically with due regard to safety, conservation and quality. The company operates in the state of West Bengal and Jharkhand. There are 14 number of operating areas with 86 number of working mines, 60 being underground mines, 18 opencast mines and 8 mixed mines. ECL is a Schedule ‘B’ CPSE in Coal and Lignite sector with the administrative jurisdiction of Ministry of Coal.
II. JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Director (Technical) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to Chairman and Managing Director. He/She is responsible for operation of mines and also of field activities, technical functions and safety of mines.
