Shri Sushil Chandra IRS (1980) presently Chairman , Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) , has been appointed as  Election Commissioner, the Law Ministry vice Shri Sunil Arora . Shri Chandra an IIT Graduate with roots in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, Chandra went on to study law before clearing the civil services exam.
