Ms. Shruti Singh IAS (Punjab 2004) has been appointed as Joint Secretary- Ministry of
Information & Broadcasting for a tenure of five years vice Ms. Garima Singh CSS by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet at Joint Secretary Level (Level 14).
Ms. Shruti Singh IAS, a distinguished officer of the Indian Administrative Service, has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. A Gold Medalist in History (B.A. Honours) from Delhi University, she holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Punjab University, Chandigarh, and an LL.B. in Administrative Law from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.
Over the years, Ms. Singh has held several key positions in both the Punjab Government and the Government of India. Her extensive administrative experience includes serving as Resident Commissioner, Punjab Bhavan, New Delhi, Secretary, Personnel Department, Punjab, Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), and Managing Director, Industries Department, Chandigarh.
Known for her sharp policy insight and dedication to public service, Ms. Singh has contributed to industrial development, personnel management, and governance reforms. Her diverse roles across commerce, finance, justice, and industry reflect her dynamic leadership and versatility within the civil service.
Her appointment as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting marks another important step in her illustrious career, where she is expected to leverage her administrative expertise to strengthen media, communication, and public information outreach policies.
