Shri Sanjay Kothari IAS Retd (Haryana 1978) presently serving as the Secretary to the President was sworn in as Central Vigilance Commissioner at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Shri Kothari is presently Secretary at the President’s Sectt since 2017 , has been Chairperson- Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions and handled important portfolios as Special Secy, DG – Tourism , Financial Commissioner- Culture, Jt Secy- Health, Jt Secy- Relief & Rehabilitation, Jt Secy- GAD, Member Secy- HBPE, Jt Secy- Archives & Archaeology, Director- Home dept and MD- Haryana Tourism to name a few. Shri Kothari is a BSc in Physics, a Gold Medallist in MSc , has done his MBA and his Business Administration from University of Hull.
He has presented and written some awards winning articles and presentations “Has Something Gone Wrong with IAS “, “Long Term Perspective Planning for the Town in Haryana”, “Role of Voluntary Agencies in Indias Development ” and “Innovative Thinking in Government” to name a few.
