Indian Bureaucracy News, New Delhi, September 29,2025 | REC Limited and its subsidiary, REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), bagged two major awards at the Dun & Bradstreet 17th PSU & Government Summit 2025, marking a fresh endorsement of their role in India’s energy and infrastructure landscape.
REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power and among India’s largest non-banking financial companies, was named the Best Financial Services Company in the Central PSU category. With a loan book exceeding ₹5 lakh crore, REC has been a key financier of power, renewable energy, and core infrastructure projects, ensuring capital flows into sectors critical to India’s growth. The company is headed by Shri Jitendra Srivastava, IAS (Bihar cadre, 2000 batch), who serves as Chairman & Managing Director and also holds the additional charge of Director (Projects).
RECPDCL, the wholly owned subsidiary of REC, was awarded Best Power Transmission Company in the Central PSU category. Over recent years, it has become a crucial Bid Process Coordinator (BPC) and consultant, driving tariff-based competitive bidding and enabling timely execution of transmission projects that connect renewable-rich regions to demand centres across India.
Both awards were received by Shri T S C Bosh, CEO of RECPDCL and Executive Director of REC Limited, who noted that the recognition reflects the organisations’ collective commitment to accelerating India’s infrastructure and energy transformation.
The Dun & Bradstreet PSU & Government Summit, now in its 17th edition, is an annual platform that brings together senior government officials, policy-makers, and corporate leaders to highlight the role of public sector undertakings in nation-building. The 2025 summit focused on themes of digital transformation, sustainability, and financing India’s next wave of growth—areas where REC and RECPDCL have increasingly positioned themselves.
For India’s energy sector, the recognition of REC as a financial pillar and RECPDCL as an execution partner signals more than industry accolades. It is a reflection of their continued commitment and contribution to expanding the national transmission backbone, integrating renewables, and ensuring reliable power delivery—key steps in advancing India’s clean energy transition and long-term energy security.
