His tenure in this central assignment is from 1 August 2024 to 31 July 2028. Earlier in his career, Shri Rajesh Meena served as Managing Director under the Housing and Urban Development Department, Patna, from 31 July 2017 to 31 March 2019. In this role, he was associated with urban governance, housing schemes, and development programmes aimed at improving civic infrastructure and urban service delivery. His work contributed to strengthening institutional mechanisms in the urban development sector.
He also served as Deputy Development Commissioner, West Champaran, from 9 August 2015 to 30 July 2017, where he was responsible for overseeing rural development initiatives, implementation of flagship welfare schemes, and coordination of developmental activities at the district level. This role allowed him to gain extensive exposure to grassroots planning, monitoring, and execution of rural development programmes.
At the early stage of his career, Shri Rajesh Meena held the position of Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO/SDM), Madhubani, from 21 August 2014 to 8 August 2015.
