RailTel Celebrated its 16th Foundation Day on 23rd September 2015 at FICCI Auditorium, New Delhi. Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister of Railways and Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Minster of State for Railways were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour of this programme respectively. Chairman Railway Board, Railway Board Members, senior officials from Railways, DoT, DIT, Railway PSUs, and senior official of the Telecom sector also graced the occasion with their presence. As per tradition the programme started with lamp lighting followed by the welcome address by Shri R.K. Bahuguna, CMD, RailTel.
Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister of Railways , Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon’bleMinister of State for Railways, Shri A.K. Mital, Chairman, Railway Board and Shri Navin Tandon, Member Electrical, Railway addressed the august gathering. Followed by this RailTel employees were awarded for their exceptional contribution in the company’s growth. Southern Region was conferred with the “Best Region Award’ for their outstanding overall performance. Shri A. Seshagiri Rao, Director/Network Planning & Marketing, RailTel gave the vote of Thanks. For the very first time the live webcast of the entire programme was done using RailTel infrastructure which enabled RailTel employees across regions to see the programme live.
The celebration continued with a Laser show depicting RailTel’s Role in the Digital India mission and musical performance by Ms Sugandha Mishra
