R Bhaskaran IPS given additional charge as DIG – Zone-II, Basara, Telangana
Shri R Bhaskaran IPS (Telangana 2012), presently DIG, CI Cell, Intelligence, Hyderabad, has been given additional charge as DIG – Zone-II, Basara, Telangana.
An officer of the 2012 batch of the Indian Police Service, Shri R Bhaskaran has served in senior policing assignments in Telangana. His present posting as DIG, CI Cell, Intelligence, Hyderabad, involves responsibilities associated with intelligence-related policing and the functioning of the Crime Investigation Cell.
With the latest order, Shri Bhaskaran will additionally take charge as DIG, Zone-II, Basara. The zone comprises the districts of Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad Police Commissionerate and Jagitial.
The additional responsibility places him in charge of supervising police administration across a significant regional jurisdiction comprising multiple districts and a police commissionerate. The assignment requires coordination with district police leadership and monitoring of law-and-order and policing arrangements across the zone.
His experience at the level of Deputy Inspector General and his present association with the Intelligence Department provide him with significant senior-level policing experience for handling the additional responsibility. The assignment will also require coordination among different police units and administrative formations within the zone.
The latest arrangement forms part of the Telangana Government’s efforts to ensure effective supervision of policing across the state’s zones. Shri Bhaskaran will continue with his existing responsibilities in the CI Cell, Intelligence, while also taking charge of Zone-II, Basara.
The additional responsibility entrusted to him reflects the importance of experienced senior police leadership in ensuring coordination and administrative continuity across the districts under the zone.
