Indian Bureaucracy, New Delhi, May 20, 2025 | The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Shri Asheesh Kumar for the position of Director, Business Development at Coal India Limited (CIL), a Schedule A public sector undertaking. The recommendation was made during the PESB meeting held on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
Shri Asheesh Kumar, currently serving as an OSD (Officer on Special Duty) at Coal India Limited, emerged as the preferred candidate following interviews with a diverse group of twelve executives.
The selection process included a rigorous assessment of candidates from various public sector enterprises. The other executives interviewed for the role were:

- Shri Siddharth Agarwal, Executive Director & State Head, Karnataka State Office, Indian Oil Corporation Limited
- Shri Bharatula Vishwanath, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), NMDC Ltd., Railways (M/O)
- Shri Shailesh Vagerwal, Executive Director Operations at MIL HO, Indian Ordnance Factories Service.
