Shri Padmanabhan Raja Jaishankar presently Executive Director (ED), National Housing Bank (NHB), has been appointed as Managing Director (MD), India Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd. (IIFCL) for a period
of 3 years .He holds an M.Tech degree from IIT, Delhi and an MBA from FMS, Delhi. Shri Jaishankar has held the positions of the Director and CEO of IIFCL Projects Ltd. (a Central Public Sector Enterprise), Chairman of IIFCL IDF Mutual Funds and the Chief General Manager of India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited. He was on the Board of IFCI Factors Ltd. He had also served in different positions in NHB and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO).
With specialization in Structured Project Finance, New Financial Product Development, Development Initiatives, Risk Management, HRD and other functions in a strategic corporate environment, he is known for having structured the first ever Mortgage Securitization transaction in India and a number of other Structured Financial Solutions such as Credit Enhancement, Takeout Finance and Reverse Mortgages.
