NTPC pays Total Dividend of Rs. 2762.23 cr for FY 2015-16

NTPC Limited paid a total dividend @ 33.5% of its paid-up capital for the financial year 2015-16, amounting to Rs. 2762.23 crore. The dividend payment is 4th highest among Public Sector Undertakings.

The Company had paid interim dividend @16.0% amounting to Rs. 1319.27 crore on February 15, 2016. The Company has paid the final dividend @17.5% amounting to Rs. 1442.96 crore on September 30, 2016.

The RTGS advice for the transfer of Rs. 1006.38 crore to Government of India, being the share of Government of India in the final dividend, was presented today by Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC, to Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines in the presence of Shri Pradeep Kumar Pujari Secretary, MOP. Shri K. Biswal, Director (Finance), NTPC, Shri A. K. Jha, Director (Technical), NTPC, Shri U. P. Pani, Director (Human Resources), NTPC and Shri S.C. Pandey, Director (Projects), NTPC were also present on this occasion.

NTPC Ltd. has paid a total dividend of Rs. 1995.28 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2015-16. This is the 23rd consecutive year that NTPC Ltd. has paid dividend.
