Sunpreet Singh IPS transferred as Joint Commissioner of Police – Traffic, Cyberabad

Shri Sunpreet Singh IPS (Telangana 2011), presently Commissioner of Police, Warangal, has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Police – Traffic, Cyberabad, Telangana, with additional charge of DIG – Zone-III, Rajanna Telangana.

An officer of the 2011 batch of the Indian Police Service, Shri Sunpreet Singh has held important policing assignments in Telangana. As Commissioner of Police, Warangal, he has been responsible for leading the police administration of the Warangal Police Commissionerate and overseeing law-and-order and policing arrangements in the jurisdiction.

With the latest transfer, Shri Singh will take charge as Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Cyberabad. The assignment places him in a key urban policing role involving the supervision and administration of traffic management in the Cyberabad area.

In addition to his new posting, Shri Singh has been given the additional charge of DIG, Zone-III, Rajanna Telangana. The zone comprises Karimnagar Police Commissionerate, Siddipet Police Commissionerate, Sircilla-Rajanna and Kamareddy districts.

The new assignment brings together responsibilities in urban traffic policing and zonal police administration. Shri Singh’s experience as Commissioner of Police, Warangal, will be valuable in handling the additional responsibility of coordinating police administration across multiple districts and commissionerates.

The latest posting is part of the Telangana Government’s broader administrative changes in the police department. It involves a significant shift from commissionerate leadership to a senior traffic policing assignment, while also entrusting Shri Singh with additional zonal responsibilities.

His experience in leading a police commissionerate is expected to assist him in managing the new responsibilities and ensuring effective coordination across the jurisdictions under Zone-III.
