Shri Nishant Sihara IAS (Kerala 2022) presently with Kerala Cadre has been transferred to Bihar Cadre on grounds of marriage to Ms. Komal Meena IPS (Bihar 2023).
Shri Nishant Sihara, a 2022 batch officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), has been transferred from the Kerala cadre to the Bihar cadre on the grounds of marriage to Ms. Komal Meena, IPS (Bihar cadre, 2023 batch). This cadre transfer is in line with the Government of India’s policy that allows married officers from different cadres of the All India Services to opt for a common cadre, ensuring both professional continuity and family stability.
Born into a generation of bright and dynamic civil servants, Shri Nishant Sihara has shown promise from the very beginning of his academic and professional journey. An alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, he pursued B.Tech in Civil Engineering, where he excelled in his academics and developed a keen interest in public systems, infrastructure, and governance. His strong technical foundation and problem-solving abilities have contributed to his approach as an administrator, blending analytical rigor with a people-centric outlook.
After joining the Indian Administrative Service in 2022, Shri Sihara was allotted the Kerala cadre, where he began his career in public administration. Though still in the early stages of his service, he has been exposed to the unique administrative challenges and governance models of Kerala, particularly in areas like decentralized planning, social welfare, and disaster management. His grounding in Kerala’s administrative culture is expected to add value to his future assignments in Bihar, a state that is undergoing rapid development while also tackling complex socio-economic challenges.
With this transfer, Shri Sihara will now serve in Bihar, where his expertise, youthful energy, and academic excellence are expected to contribute to governance and public service. His career will be closely watched as he continues to grow as part of India’s new generation of administrators.
INdianBureaucracy.com wishes Shri Nishant Sihara the very best.
