Shri Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi IAS (Punjab 1984) presently posted as Principal Secretary Public Works Department, Government of Punjab, has been given additional charge of Principal Resident Commissioner, Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi. He replaces Ms Kalpana Barua Mittal IAS (Punjab 1985)
Shri N S Kalsi is a BE from IIT Roorkee and MTech from IIT ,Delhi and PhD in Management Systems. His Indian bureaucracy career started in 1986 as SDO and since then has handled many important portfolios at state and central cadre. He has been Dy Commissioner-Sangrur & Faridkot, Director -Technical Education, CEO-Energy, Director-IT, MD- Infrastructure and Investments, Secretary-Employment (Punjab) and Jt Secretary and Advisor-Home Affairs (GOI) to name a few of his posting.
He has been awarded citation for “Best Paper Award for a paper on A proposed National policy on information Security in India” and has a no of publications like “Changing perspectives and Pragmatics of Good Governance and e-Governance in India” , “ICT and Good- Governance” ,”e-Governance”, “Critical evaluation of e-Governance Projects”, “Identifying Factor Causing Pain and Harassment to the Citizen”, to his name.
