Throughout his illustrious career, Shri Mesharam has held a succession of high-impact positions that have shaped policy and governance in Uttar Pradesh. As Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture Department, he led major initiatives to enhance the state’s tourism infrastructure, promote cultural heritage, and position Uttar Pradesh as a leading destination for domestic and international travelers. His additional charge as Principal Secretary, Religious Affairs, saw significant improvements in pilgrimage management and the development of religious circuits, ensuring a seamless experience for devotees while fostering cultural preservation.
Earlier, as Divisional Commissioner of Lucknow and Allahabad, Shri Mesharam demonstrated exemplary command over district administration, land management, and disaster response, ensuring effective coordination across departments.
