The Indian Navy conducted its Annual Education Officers Enrichment Programme 2023 in New Delhi on October 5th and 6th. The program aimed to discuss policy initiatives and contemporary issues related to the Education Branch of the Indian Navy, focusing on improving functional effectiveness for the growth and development of the navy.

  1. Participants: The program was attended by senior officers of the Education Branch of the Indian Navy, including Rear Admiral Rajvir Singh and Commodore G Rambabu.
  2. Objectives: The main objective of the program was to engage in discussions on various policy initiatives and contemporary issues related to the Education Branch and enhance its functional effectiveness.
  3. Guest Speakers: Speakers from the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) were invited to deliver lectures on the latest developments in the field of education, including higher education.
  4. Lecture Topics: Speakers from sister services, other educational bodies, and various directorates at Naval Headquarters delivered lectures on relevant and contemporary topics during the program.
  5. Closing Address: Vice Admiral K Swaminathan, Chief of Personnel & Controller Personnel Services, commended the recent initiatives by the Directorate of Naval Education. He emphasized the branch’s crucial role in education, training, and welfare of naval personnel. Delegates were encouraged to provide effective leadership in alignment with the evolving role of the Indian Navy.

The Annual Education Officers Enrichment Programme serves as a platform for naval education officers to discuss and gain insights into educational policies, practices, and challenges, contributing to the continual improvement of the Indian Navy’s Education Branch.
