Shri Piyush Goyal IAS (Nagaland 1994), presently on central deputation and posted as Chief Executive Officer, NATGRID, has been relieved of his duties in the Ministry of Home Affairs with effect from the afternoon of 3 September 2025. He will assume charge as Secretary – Ministry of Mines.
An IAS officer of the 1994 batch, Shri Goyal has earlier served as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs and as Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, before his appointment as CEO of NATGRID.
