Indian Bureaucracy News, New Delhi, September 01, 2025| The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has invited nominations for the post of Senior Police Adviser (P-5) in the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP). The appointment will be on secondment basis for a period of 12 months, extendable as per UN requirements. Last date of submission is 10 September 2025.
As per the notification, the post is open to serving police officers of the rank of Inspector General (IG) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) with active service. Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory, while knowledge of a second UN language will be an added advantage.
Eligible and willing officers fulfilling the prescribed criteria may be nominated through proper channel. The last date for submission of applications, along with Vigilance and Cadre clearances and requisite documents, is 10 September 2025. Only digital submissions in PDF format via email will be accepted, in line with the Digital India initiative.
The MHA has emphasised that nominations must strictly conform to the eligibility criteria outlined in the annexures attached to the circular. Applications not routed through the Home Department of the State/UT or Head of Organisation, or received after the deadline, will not be entertained.
