Mangesh Ghildiyal IAS given extension as Director – PMO
Shri Mangesh Ghildiyal IAS (Uttarakhand 2012) presently Director in the Prime Minister’s Office has been given extension of tenure for a period of one year beyond 31.03.2026 i.e. upto 31.3.2027 by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
Shri Mangesh Ghildiyal, an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), represents a fine blend of academic excellence and dedicated public service. With a strong foundation in Physics, he completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Kumaun University, Uttarakhand, both with First Class with Distinction, followed by an M.Tech. from the School of Physics, Devi Ahilya University, Indore, also securing First Class with Distinction. His academic journey reflects intellectual rigor and analytical depth, qualities that have continued to define his administrative career.
Since joining the IAS, Shri Ghildiyal has built a reputation for sincerity, grounded decision-making, and an ability to navigate complex administrative landscapes. His early training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, laid the groundwork for a career marked by discipline and a commitment to public welfare.
At the district level, his tenure as District Collector of Bageshwar stands out as particularly impactful. In this role, he demonstrated a keen understanding of grassroots governance, focusing on land revenue management, district administration, and citizen-centric service delivery.
