Joint Secretary level bureaucratic reshuffle at Centre

Officers of the Joint Secretary level has been appointed to various ministries as part of mid-level bureaucratic reshuffle.Rajesh Aggarwal, a 1989-batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre, has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services.

He has been appointed in place of his batch-mate from Madhya Pradesh cadre Anurag Jain, who has been shifted to the Prime Minister’s Office, according to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training. Ashutosh Jindal, a 1995-batch IAS officer of Manipur- Tripura cadre, has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Arun Kumar Mehta, a 1988-batch Jammu and Kashmir cadre IAS officer, has been appointed as JS in the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change. Anurag Srivastava, a 1992-batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been shifted as Joint Secretary from Labour and Employment Ministry to the Ministry of Ayush.

Rajiv Sadanandan, joint secretary in the ministry of labour and employment, was shifted to the ministry of rural development.  He will replace Vijaya Srivastav, who was earlier elevated as additional secretary. Sadanandan is a 1985-batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre.

Sameer Sharma, a 1985-batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Urban Development. Mihir Kumar Singh has been appointed JS in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Bipin Bihari Mallick has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the order said.

Aindri Anurag, a 1988-batch Indian Postal Service officer, has been appointed JS in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Bhupinder Singh Bhalla has been appointed as JS in the Department of Commerce.

C K Khetan, a 1987-batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, National Trust for the Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities, under the Department of Disability Affairs. He was working at the same level in the Urban Development Ministry.

Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, an IAS officer of 1990-batch Uttarakhand cadre, was appointed as joint secretary, department of commerce, to fill the vacancy of additional secretary Depinder Singh Dhesi.
