Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, recently handed over appointment letters to 44,703 successful candidates for government jobs in Assam. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.

During his address, Shri Amit Shah mentioned that prior to the assembly elections in Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma had expressed the aim to involve the youth of Assam in the state’s development process and provide government jobs to 100,000 local youth. Shri Shah stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Assam government has already provided government jobs to approximately 86,000 youth in two years. Furthermore, with an additional 14,000 jobs to be offered in the coming months, the promise of providing 100,000 government jobs in the state will soon be fulfilled.

Shri Amit Shah also highlighted the upcoming dedication of the newly constructed Parliament Building to the nation on May 28 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He criticized the opposition for boycotting the event and described their actions as petty politics. Shri Shah emphasized that the people of the country desire the construction of a new temple of democracy, where discussions and deliberations on strengthening democracy can take place. He expressed that the opposition’s actions disrespect the mandate given by the people, as Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was elected with a majority twice.

The Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation acknowledged the positive changes brought about by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership in Assam. He mentioned that in the past, Assam faced challenges such as violence, extremism, shutdowns, and curfews, but under the current government, a new era of development has been ushered in. Shri Shah stated that the people of Assam desire peace, development, and association with India. He commended Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for implementing a transparent system that allows talented youth from all regions, castes, and classes in Assam to secure government jobs based on merit, ending the era of nepotism.

Shri Amit Shah emphasized the significance of the ongoing Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (celebrations of India’s 75th year of independence) and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision to place India at the forefront of the world during this period. He encouraged the young generation to dedicate themselves to serving the people of Assam and contribute to India’s development through the development of Assam. Shri Shah stressed the importance of integrity and connecting the poorest of the poor with the state’s progress, regardless of the department in which the youth serve.

Regarding the state’s security and development, Shri Amit Shah highlighted the significant reductions in violence, security forces’ deaths, and civilian casualties under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He mentioned that Assam is moving forward in terms of development and peace, attributing this progress to the efforts of Shri Sarbananda Sonowal and the current Chief Minister, Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma. Shri Shah also praised the government for signing various agreements and taking steps to enhance the state’s infrastructure, tribal welfare, law and order, and fiscal position.

Additionally, Shri Amit Shah mentioned the government’s efforts to preserve and promote the language and culture of Assam. He noted the participation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the 400th birth anniversary celebrations of Shri Lachit Borphukan Ji and the world record set by Assam’s youth for the famous Bihu dance. Shri Shah highlighted the advancements made in the medical sector, with Assam aiming to become the medical capital of Northeast India and Eastern countries.
