Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta IPS repatriated to his parent cadre

Shri Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta IPS (Assam- Meghalaya 1988) presently Joint Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry has been given premature repatriation with immediate effect with imposition of extended cooling off condition.

Shri Mahanta has rich and varied experience in the fields of Public Service and Governance issues. He has been a Non Executive Director of Andrew Yule & Company Ltd. since March 21, 2016. He has been a Part-Time Official Director at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited since January 3, 2017 and Joint Secretary of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. He has been an Additional Non-Executive Director of Tide Water Oil Co. (India), Ltd. since May 13, 2016. He holds a Master Degree in Social Work from Delhi University
