Shri B Srinivas IPS (Jammu & Kashmir 1990) presently Chief Security Officer(CSO) NTPC, Ministry of Power, Government of India, has been appointed as IG SSB, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
Shri B Srinivas also held the position of DIG North Kashmir and IG Operations in North Kashmir. His further assignments have been as Inspector General of Police of Kashmir, IGP Security J&K and intelligence chief of the J&K Police before moving to the Government of India on deputation in October 2015. Dr. Srinivas served with the Ministry of Home Affairs with Intelligence and Counter Terrorism as his specialization. He is a recipient of Police Medal for Gallantry and the President’s Police Medal for distinguished services (medals conferred upon Indian police medal for their meritorious service).
