Shri Avinash Kumar, an accomplished officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been transferred and appointed as the District Magistrate & Collector of Ghazipur. Prior to this, he was serving as District Magistrate & Collector of Jhansi, where he played a pivotal role in local governance, infrastructure development, and efficient public service delivery.
An alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai, Shri Kumar holds a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering, graduating with First Division. His academic excellence is matched by his administrative capability, honed through years of grassroots and departmental experience.
Shri Kumar began his IAS career with foundational training at LBSNAA, followed by a stint at the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, as Assistant Secretary, where he contributed to national health initiatives.
