Shri Anant Kumar Singh IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1984) presently Secretary, Ministry of Textiles , has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Land Resources in the vacancy caused on superannuation of Shri Dinesh Singh IAS (UP 1982) on 30.06.2018.
Shri Singh has been a Government Director at Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd. since January 2, 2016. He served as a Government Director of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited from September 30, 2015 to January 3, 2016. Mr. Singh has been a Part Time Government Nominee Director of GAIL (India) Limited since January 2, 2016.
Shri Singh did his Bachelor and Masters Degree in Physics from IIT Kharagpur and M.Phil in Physics from Delhi University. He continued to pursue his academic interest even after joining this service and did M.A. in Economics from Ram Manohar Lohia University, Faizabad and LL.B from Lucknow University, Lucknow
