Indian Bureaucracy, Chandigarh, April 07, 2025 | Amidst ongoing concerns and efforts to combat drug trafficking in the state, the Punjab government, on April 6, 2025, issued a late-night order transferring ninety-seven (97) police personnel, including eleven (11) IPS officers. This overhauling follows recent substantial drug seizures by Punjab Police and the state Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s stated commitment to tackling the narcotics problem. The transfers aim to optimise law enforcement capabilities in key regions. The following list details the officers now transferred and primarily based out of Amritsar and SAS Nagar, districts central to the state’s anti-drug operations:

Amritsar

  1. Ms Jasroop Kaur Batth IPS (Punjab 2020), presently SP, Investigation, Jalandhar Rural, is appointed as ADCP-III, Amritsar.
  2. Shri Aditya S Warrier IPS (Punjab 2020), presently ADCP, Investigation, Jalandhar, is appointed as SP, Investigation, Amritsar Rural, relieving Shri Harinder Singh Gill (1395 PAP).
  3. Shri Sirivennela IPS (Punjab 2021), presently ASP, SD Model Town, Jalandhar, is transferred and appointed as ADCP-II – Amritsar, in the rank of ASP.
  4. Shri Jagbinder Singh (356 PR), presently ADCP-I, Ludhiana, is transferred and appointed as ADCP, Investigation, Amritsar, Punjab relieving Shri Navjot Singh (TP 116).
  5. Shri Gurpreet Singh (DR), presently SP – ANTF, Ferozepur Range, is appointed as SP – ANTF, Border Range, Amritsar, Punjab.
  6. Smt Amandeep Kaur (DR), presently ADCP, Traffic, Jalandhar, is appointed as ADCP – Traffic, Amritsar, Punjab.
  7. Smt Parvinder Kaur (DR), presently SP – Hqrs., Tarn Taran, is appointed as ADCP – Hqrs., Amritsar, Punjab relieving Smt Harkamal Kaur (DR).
  8. Shri Gurmit Singh (1393 PAP), presently SP – Hqrs., Bathinda, is appointed as SP – Hqrs., Amritsar Rural, Punjab relieving Shri Jagdish Kumar.
  9. Shri Gagnesh Kumar (1354 PAP), presently awaiting posting on reinstatement from suspension, is appointed as Assistant Commandant – 9th Bn PAP, Amritsar, Punjab.
  10. Shri Vishaljeet Singh (DR), presently SP – STF, Amritsar Range, is appointed as ADCP – I, Amritsar, Punjab.

SAS Nagar

  1. Smt Ashwini Gotyal IPS (Punjab 2016), presently AIG, HRD, Punjab, is transferred and appointed as AIG – Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), SAS Nagar, Punjab.
  2. Smt Ravjot Grewal IPS (Punjab 2015), presently AIG, Technical Services, Punjab, Chandigarh, is transferred and appointed as AIG – Counter Intelligence, SAS Nagar, Punjab.
  3. Shri Navneet Singh Mahal (DR), presently SP, PBI, Ropar, is transferred and appointed as SP, Traffic, SAS Nagar, Punjab relieving Shri Harinder Singh Mann (DR).
  4. Shri Saurav Jindal (DR), presently SP, Hqrs., Barnala, is transferred and appointed as SP, Investigation, SAS Nagar, Punjab.
  5. Shri Ramandeep Singh (150 BR, 461 PR), presently Available for posting on placement, is transferred and appointed as SP, Hqrs., SAS Nagar, Punjab.
  6. Smt Deepika Singh (DR), presently SP, AGTF, SAS Nagar, is transferred and appointed as SP, PBI, SAS Nagar, Punjab, and, in addition, SP, Community Affairs Division, SAS Nagar, Punjab.
