97 Cops Transfers Punjab Indian Bureaucracy

Indian Bureaucracy, Chandigarh, April 07, 2025 | Amidst ongoing concerns and efforts to combat drug trafficking in the state, the Punjab government, on April 6, 2025, issued a late-night order transferring ninety-seven (97) police personnel, including eleven (11) IPS officers.  The following list details the officers now transferred and primarily based out of Bhatinda, Barnala and Chandigarh.

Bhatinda

  1. Shri Jatinder Singh (TP 98), presently AIG, ANTF, Patiala, is appointed as Commandant, 5th CDO Battalion, Bathinda, with additional charge as AIG – ANTF, Bathinda Range.
  2. Shri Jagdish Kumar (1351 PAP), presently SP – Hqrs., Amritsar Rural, is appointed as SP – Hqrs., Bathinda, Punjab relieving Shri Gurmit Singh.
  3. Shri Jasmeet Singh Sahiwal (DR), presently SP – PBI, Faridkot, and, in addition, SP, Investigation, Faridkot, is appointed as SP – Investigation, Bathinda, Punjab.

Barnala

  1. Shri Ashok Kumar (315 PR), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as SP – Investigation, Barnala, Punjab relieving Shri Sundeep Singh (DR).
  2. Shri Rajesh Kumar (65 PR), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as SP – Hqrs., Barnala, Punjab relieving Shri Saurav Jindal (DR).

Bahadurgarh

  1. Shri Barinder Singh (200 PR), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Assistant Commandant – 36th Bn. PAP, Bahadurgarh, Patiala, Punjab.

Chandigarh, Punjab

  1. Shri Ravi Kumar (117 J), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Assistant Commandant – 13th Bn. PAP, Chandigarh, Punjab.
  2. Shri Jogi Raj (173 PR), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Assistant Commandant, 82nd Bn. PAP, Chandigarh, Punjab.
