In a major reshuffle in police administration at district level, Bihar Government transferred SSPs/SPs of Purnia, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Nawada, Madhepura, Arwal, Saharsa, Kaimur, Rohtas, Kishanganj, Sitamarhi, Munger, Vaishali, and Gopalganj district. The Government also shifted City SP ( East), Patna, and City SP, Gaya.
Purnia SP Nishant Kumar Tiwari, a 2005 batch Bihar cadre IPS officer, has been transferred and appointed Commandant, Bihar Military Police (BMP) -1, Patna, while SSP, Gaya, Garima Malik, a 2006 batch IPS officer, has been shifted and appointed Commandant, BMP- 10, Patna. Bhagalpur SSP Manoj Kumar, a 2008 batch IPS officer, has been tranferred and appointed SSP, Darbhanga.
Nawada SP Vikas Berman, a 2008 batch IPS officer, too has been transferred and appointed SP, Sitamarhi. SP Madhepura Vikas Kumar, a 2008 batch IPS officer, too has been shifted and appointed SP, Katihar. Arwal SP Dilip Kumar Mishra, an IPS officer of 2008 batch, has been appointed SP, Rail, Katihar. Saharsa SP Ashwini Kumar, also an IPS officer of 2008 batch, has been appointed Commandant, BMP-13, Darbhanga.
Rohtas SP Manavjit Singh Dhillon, an IPS officer of 2009 batch, has been shifted and appointed SP, Vaishali. Kaimur SP Harpreet Kumar, a 2009 batch IPS officer, has been appointed SSP, Muzaffarpur. Muzaffarpur SSP Vivek Kumar was recently suspended on corruption charges.
Kishanganj SP Rajiv Mishra, an IPS officer of 2010 batch, has been shifted and appointed SSP, Gaya, while Sitamarhi SP Hari Prasath S, an IPS officer of 2010 batch, has been shifted and appointed SP, Nawada. Vaishali SP Rakesh Kumar, an IPS officer of 2011 batch, has been appointed SP, Saharsa. Munger Ashish Bharti, an IPS officer of 2011 batch, has been shifted and appointed SSP, Bhagalpur.
Gopalganj SP Ravi Ranjan Kumar, an IPS officer of 2012 batch, has been shifted and appointed Commandant, BMP 12, Saharsa. Kumar Ashish, an IPS officer of 2012 batch and Commandant, BMP 12, Saharsa, has been appointed SP, Kishanganj.
Vishal Verma, City SP ( East), Patna, an IPS officer of 2013 batch, has been shifted and made SP, Purnia. Gaurav Mangla, also an IPS officer of 2013 batch and City SP, Gaya, has been made SP, Munger. Mohammad Faroguddin, a newly promoted IPS officer and Commandant, BMP 12, Patna, has been shifted and appointed SP, Kaimur. Rashid Zaman, a newly promoted IPS officer and SP, Economic Offence Unit, has been shifted and appointed SP, Gopalganj.
Dr Parvez Akhtar, an IPS officer of 2005 batch and Commandant, BMP- 2, Dehri, has been shifted and appointed SP-cum- Assistant Director, Bihar Police Academy, Patna. Umashankar Prasad, also an IPS officer of 2005 batch and SP (Rail), Katihar, has been appointed SP, Arwal.
Nitasha Gudia, Commandant, BMP 13, Darbhanga, and an IPS officer of 2008 batch, has been appointed Commandant, BMP-2, Dehri, with additiona charge of Commandant, Mahila Battalion, Sasaram. SP (D), CID, Sanjay Kumar, an IPS officer of 2008 batch, has been shifted too and appointed SP, Madhepura.
