Indian Bureaucracy, Bengaluru, February 20, 2025| The Karnataka government, through a circular dated 20.02.2025, has transferred and appointed 10 IAS officers across key departments while upgrading multiple positions to cadre posts of Director of Municipal Administration in the Senior Scale of IAS.

The reshuffle includes a new Commissioner for Taxes, a Joint Secretary for Infrastructure Development, Ports & Inland Water Transport, and an Operations Head for the National Livelihood Mission. Additionally, the positions of Joint Secretary, Infrastructure Development, Ports & Inland Water Transport Department; Additional Commissioner for Commercial Taxes (Service Analysis Wing); Chief Operating Officer (Operations), National Livelihood Mission (NLM); Director of Social Audit, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department; and, Deputy Secretary, Department of Electronics, IT, BioTech and Science & Technology, have been upgraded to cadre posts in the Senior Scale of IAS.

  1. Shri Govinda Reddy IAS (Karnataka 2013), presently awaiting posting, is appointed Joint Secretary – Infrastructure Development, Ports & Inland Water Transport Department, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Post upgraded to Senior Scale of IAS.
  2. Shri Darshan H V IAS (Karnataka 2016), presently Director, Information Technology and Bio-Technology, Bengaluru, is transferred and appointed as Additional Commissioner – Commercial Taxes, Service Analysis Wing, Bengaluru, relieving Shri Chandrashekhar Nayaka L IAS from concurrent charge. Post upgraded to Senior Scale of IAS.
  3. Smt Gayithri K M IAS (Karnataka 2016), presently Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Mysuru, is transferred and appointed as Chief Operating Officer – (Operations), National Livelihood Mission (NLM), Bengaluru, relieving Shri Ramachandran R IAS from concurrent charge. Post upgraded to Senior Scale of IAS.
  4. Shri Akshy Sridhar IAS (Karnataka 2017), presently Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Haveri, is transferred and appointed as Deputy Secretary to Government – DPAR (Services), Bengaluru, relieving Shri Ukesh Kumar S IAS.
  5. Smt Padma Basavanthappa IAS (Karnataka 2017), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Director – Social Audit, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Bengaluru. Post upgraded to Senior Scale of IAS.
  6. Shri Ukesh Kumar S IAS (Karnataka 2018), presently Deputy Secretary to Government – DPAR (Services), Bengaluru, is transferred and appointed as Chief Executive Officer – Zilla Panchayat, Mysuru, relieving Smt Gayithri K M IAS.
  7. Shri Rahul Sharanappa Sankanur IAS (Karnataka 2019), presently Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Ballari, is transferred and appointed as Director – Information Technology and Bio-Technology, Bengaluru, relieving Shri Darshan H V IAS. Post upgraded to Senior Scale of IAS.
  8. Smt Ruchi Bindal IAS (Karnataka 2020), presently Deputy Secretary to Government – Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Bengaluru, is transferred and appointed as Chief Executive Officer – Zilla Panchayat, Haveri, relieving Shri Akshy Sridhar IAS.
  9. Shri Daljeet Kumar IAS (Karnataka 2021), presently awaiting posting, is appointed as Deputy Secretary to Government – Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Bengaluru, relieving Smt Ruchi Bindal IAS.
  10. Shri MD Haris Sumair IAS (Karnataka 2021), presently Deputy Project Director – HRMS 2.0, Finance Department, Bengaluru, is transferred and appointed as Chief Executive Officer – Zilla Panchayat, Ballari, relieving Shri Rahul Sharanappa Sankanur IAS.
