Telangana 7 IAS Reshuffle, K Surendra Mohan to Oversee Cooperation

Indian Bureaucracy, Hyderabad, February 20, 2025| In a late evening communique, the Telangana government reassigned eight officers, including seven IAS and one State Service officer. The Cooperation Department, crucial for both the Union and state governments, has been assigned to senior bureaucrat Shri K Surendra Mohan. With over 8 lakh cooperative societies, including AMUL, the sector plays a key role in agriculture, banking, housing, and rural development. Cooperatives also support initiatives like the Gobardhan Scheme and India’s largest Grain Storage Plan. The government has strengthened the sector through dedicated ministries, financial safeguards, and digital platforms like ONDC and GeM.

1. Shri K Surendra Mohan IAS (Telangana 2006), presently Commissioner, Transport, given additional charge of Commissioner – Cooperation & Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Telangana, and, Director – Marketing, Agriculture & Co-Operation Department, Telangana, relieving Shri P Uday Kumar IAS (Telangana 2016).
2. Shri R V Karnan IAS (Telangana 2012), presently, Director, Health and Family Welfare, given additional charge of CEO – Arogyasri, relieving Shri Siva Sankar Lotheti IAS (Telangana 2013).
3. Shri Siva Sankar Lotheti IAS (Telangana 2013), presently CEO, Arogyasri Health Care Trust, relieved from all charges and  services placed with General Administration department for further posting.
4. Smt K Haritha IAS (Telangana 2013), presently Joint Secretary, Finance Department, Telangana, is transferred and appointed as Director – Commercial Taxes, Telangana, relieving, Shri Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi IAS (Telangana 1999) from the additional charge of the post.
5. Smt S K Yasmeen Basha IAS (Telangana 2015), presently, Director, Horticulture & Sericulture, given additional charge of the post of Managing Director – Telangana Seeds Development Corporation, relieving Shri P Uday Kumar IAS of the additional charge.
6. Shri K Chandra Sekhar Reddy IAS (Telangana 2019), presently Managing Director, Hyderabad Agriculture Co-Operate Association Ltd (HACA), given additional charge of Managing Director – Telangana Foods, relieving Shri B Srinivas Reddy.
7. Shri B Srinivas Reddy, Additional Director Handloom and Textiles relieved from all present charges and repatriated to parent department.
8. Shri Sanchit Gangwar IAS (Telangana 2019), presently Additional Collector (Local Bodies), Wanaparthy, Telangana, is transferred and appointed as Additional Collector (Local Bodies), Narayanpet, Telangana.
