Shri Satendra Singh holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics from the University of Roorkee, which is now known as the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee). In the Government of India, Shri Satendra Singh has served in several key positions at the senior policy level. He has been working as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat, New Delhi, since August 2022. Prior to this assignment, he served as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in the Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, where he was responsible for financial oversight, policy implementation, and strategic decision-making related to India’s fertilizer sector. Before this, he served as Secretary in the Finance Department (Expenditure), where he was responsible for fiscal management, public expenditure oversight, and financial planning for the state government.

His earlier assignments include positions such as Additional Finance Commissioner, Secretary of Land Reforms, Land Records and Registration, and Inspector General (Jails) in Jharkhand. Throughout his career, Shri Satendra Singh has also handled specialized assignments in sectors such as information technology, transport, rural development, and cooperative administration. He served as Transport Commissioner, Chief Executive Officer in the IT sector, Managing Director of the Export Corporation, and Director in the Panchayati Raj Department, among other positions.
