Indian Bureaucracy News Network, Kolkata, October 27, 2025 |The Government of West Bengal today issued a transfer and posting order dated Friday (24.10.2025), affecting fifteen IAS officers. Eleven of them have been appointed as Additional District Magistrates across various districts. Most of the officers belong to the 2020 batch, along with three from the 2021 batch.
The reshuffle spans multiple regions of the state — covering North Bengal districts such as Kalimpong, Kurseong (Darjeeling), Uttar Dinajpur, and Malda; South Bengal districts including North 24 Parganas, Nadia, and Purba Bardhaman; as well as western districts like Birbhum, Bankura, Purulia, and Paschim Medinipur.
Among the appointments, Avadh Singhal IAS has been given dual responsibility as Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Secretary and Under Secretary in the Home & Hill Affairs and Personnel & Administrative Reforms Departments. Bharat Singh IAS (2021 batch) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Tourism Department, Government of West Bengal.

- Shri Ashish Kumar IAS (West Bengal 2020), presently SDO, Basirhat, North 24 Parganas, is transferred and appointed as ADM – Nadia, West Bengal.
- Shri Shubham Aggarwal IAS (West Bengal 2020), presently SDO, Kalna, Purba Bardhaman, is transferred and appointed as ADM – Birbhum, West Bengal.
- Shri Navneet Mittal IAS (West Bengal 2020), presently SDO, Mathabhanga, Coochbehar, is transferred and appointed as ADM – Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal.
- Shri Saurav Pandey IAS (West Bengal 2020), presently SDO, Rampurhat, Birbhum, is transferred and appointed as ADM – Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal.
- Shri Shubham Kundal IAS (West Bengal 2020), presently SDO, Mal, Jalpaiguri, is transferred and appointed as ADM – Kalimpong, West Bengal.
- Ms Ekam J Singh IAS (West Bengal 2020), presently SDO, Jangipur, Murshidabad, is transferred and appointed as ADM – Malda, West Bengal.
- Shri Patil Yogesh Ashokrao IAS (West Bengal 2020), presently SDO, Kharagpur, Paschim Medinipur, is transferred and appointed as ADM – Purulia, West Bengal.
