Shri Vikas Gupta IAS (Haryana 2001) has been appointed as Commissioner- KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan), under the Department of School Education & Literacy for a tenure of five years vice Ms. Nidhi Pandey llnfoS (1991) by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet at Joint Secretary Level (Level 14).
Shri Vikas Gupta IAS, a distinguished officer known for his vision and administrative acumen, has been appointed as Commissioner – Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) under the Ministry of Education. An alumnus of Malviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur (now MNIT), he completed his B.E. in Electronics with First Division and Distinction, and later pursued a Master of Public Policy from the University of Oxford, securing First Class honours.
Throughout his illustrious career, Shri Gupta has held several key administrative roles across departments in Haryana and Chandigarh. His leadership journey includes serving as Commissioner and Secretary, Citizen Resources Information Department, Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, and Secretary, Finance & Planning Department, among many others. His consistent focus on governance reforms, urban infrastructure, e-governance, and fiscal management has earned him recognition as a result-oriented and progressive administrator.
