Vidyanshu Shekhar Jha IAS transferred to Uttar Pradesh Cadre
Shri Vidyanshu Shekhar Jha IAS (Jharkhand 2025) presently with Jharkhand Cadre has been transferred to Uttar Pradesh Cadre on grounds of marriage to Ms. Sweta IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2025).
Shri Vidyanshu Shekhar Jha is a distinguished civil servant who secured All India Rank (AIR) 59 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024, earning a place in the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS). His achievement reflects exceptional dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence in one of the most competitive examinations in the country.
Prior to joining the IAS, he had already demonstrated remarkable success in national-level competitive examinations. In the UPSC Indian Forest Service Examination 2023, he secured an outstanding AIR 5, highlighting his strong grasp of environmental governance and public administration. Earlier, in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022, he was selected for the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS) and served as a Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), gaining valuable administrative experience at the grassroots level.
Academically, Vidyanshu Shekhar Jha holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), completed in 2017. His engineering background provided a strong analytical and problem-solving foundation, which has complemented his career in public administration.
Known for his disciplined preparation strategy and consistent performance across multiple attempts, he stands out as an example of determination and academic rigor.
