Shri Venkata Ramana Akkaraju presently posted as Deputy Chairman, Cochin Port Trust has been given extension of the period of additional charge of the post of Chairman, Cochin Port Trust (CoPT) for a further period of 06 months w.e.f. 08.02.2017.
Shri Venkata Ramana Akkaraju is a ME (Mechanical) from BITS Pilani. Hitherto, he was Chief Mechanical and Electrical Engineer, Kolkata Port Trust and was instrumental in facilitating integrated container operations through OOM (Own Operate and Maintain) model.
