Shri Upender Singh Rawat IFS (1998) presently Ambassador of India to the Republic of Panama, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Uganda. He is expected to take up the assignment shortly.Prior to his arrival in Panama as the Ambassador of India, he was posted in NewDelhi as Joint Secretary in charge of eGovernance & Information Technology and cyber Diplomacy Divisions in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi. He has also worked in MEA, New Delhi as Joint Secretary in charge of Consular, Passport&Visa Division and Desk Officer on Consular & Extradition Matters.
