Union Minister for Water Resources River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Sushri Uma Bharti has congratulated Madhya Pradesh Government for banning sand mining in Narmada river. In a message she described it as “Right step at the right moment”. In her message sent to the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan Sushri Bharti congratulated him for this bold step and expressed the hope that this step will go a long way in conserving river Narmada.
