NHPC, India’s premier hydro power company will be organizing ‘Swachhta Pakhwada 2018’ from 16th May 2018 to 31st May 2018 as per guidelines issued by the Government of India. The ‘Swachhta Pakhwada 2018’ was inaugurated by administering of ‘Swachhta Pledge’ by Shri Balraj Joshi, Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC to employees on May 16, 2018. Shri Ratish Kumar, Director (Projects) NHPC and Shri N.K. Jain, Director (Personnel), NHPC were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion Shri Joshi highlighted the importance of cleanliness by citing the example of the life of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and requested all employees to ensure cleanliness around their workstations.
During this Pakhwada, NHPC will organize activities related to cleanliness awareness as tree plantation/ sapling plantation, skit presentation, yoga programme, cleaning kit distribution, special rally for awareness on hygiene, drawing / painting competition etc. in the nearby areas of its Corporate Office.
NHPC has been organizing various programs related to cleanliness from time to time under the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ of the Government of India and efforts have also been made to connect common masses of its surrounding areas with this campaign
