PIB News Update: Minister of State (I/C) for Youth Affairs and Sports, Shri Kiren Rijiju has informed that The total funds allocated and utilized under the National Programme for Youth and Adolescent Development Scheme (NPYADS) during the last two financial years are as under:

Under the scheme, there is no provision for state-wise allocation of funds.
In the last two financial years, following achievements had been made under the NPYADS:
(i) Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Awards were conferred upon four individuals by the Hon’ble President of India on August 29, 2017.
(ii) 5th North East Youth Festival was organized at Gangtok, Sikkim from 28th to 30th October, 2017.
(iii) 22nd National Youth Festival was organized at Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh from 12th to 16th January, 2018.
(iv) National Youth Award 2015-16 was conferred upon 23 individuals and 7 organizations during the opening ceremony of 22nd National Youth Festival.
(v) Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Awards were conferred upon ten individuals by the Hon’ble President of India on 25th September, 2018.
(vi) 6th North East Youth Festival was organized at Agartala, Tripura from 15th to 18th November, 2018.
(vii) Grants had been released to various NGOs for carrying out youth related activities.
