SJVN organizing state level painting competition on 15th Nov

State Level Painting Competition is being organized by SJVN on 15th Nov 2018 at Shakti Sadan, SJVN Corporate Office Complex, Shanan, Shimla.Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Jai Ram Thakur has consented to grace the occasion as the Chief Guest and Honorable Minister of Education, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Suresh Bhardwaj and Hon’ble Minister of Energy and MPP, Shri Anil Sharma will be present as a Guest of Honour.

Ministry of Power, Government of India has launched a National Awareness Campaign for Energy Conservation in year 2005. The painting competition for students at the school, state and national level is organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) as one of the activities of National Awareness Campaign. SJVN, is the Nodal Agency for organizing this competition in Himachal Pradesh.

The Painting Competition is being organized under two categories- Category ‘A’ for 4^th to 6^thclass students and Category ‘B’ for 7^th to 9^thclass students. SJVN in association with Directorate of Education, HP invites participants from Govt. Schools whereas, Public & Private Schools are invited by SJVN through mail.

The competition is being organized at three phases – School, State and National level. For the first phase of the Competition, all the invited schools conduct a painting competition at the school level and submittwo paintings to SJVN. Thereafter, 50 best paintings are selected from each category (A & B) for State Level Painting Competition.

All the selected 100 participants will be participating in the State Level Painting Competition being organized by SJVN on November 15, 2018 at Shakti Sadan, SJVN Corporate Office Complex, Shanan, Shimla.For both the Categories, First prize of Rs 20,000/-, Second prize for Rs 15,000/-, Third prize of Rs 10,000/- and ten Consolation prizes of Rs 5,000/- each will be awarded to the winners.
