SJVN Limited has been awarded with 10th ENERTIA Award- India & South Asia for its Flagship 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station. The award was received by Shri R.N. Misra, Chairman & Managing Director and Shri R.K. Bansal, Director(Electrical) from Shri Upendra Tripathy, IAS (Retd.) Ex- Secretary, MNRE. While Shri R.N. Misra also has been awarded in the category of Power Persona & Individual Excellence for his valuable contribution to Power Sector.
On this occasion Shri Misra told that against the MoU target of generation of 8700 million units of electricity for current financial year from its power stations, SJVN has generated more than 8300 million units during current financial year till date. He further told that during the Finacial Year 2015-16 Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station generated 7314 MU of electricity with Plant Availiability Factor (PAF) of 105%.
SJVN is implementing projects in Nepal, Bhutan, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Bihar, Gujarat and Maharashtra. The Company’s other two projects namely 412 MW Rampur HE Project in Himachal Pradesh and 47.6 MW Khirvire Wind Power Project in Maharashtra are already in operation. SJVN which has already diversified in the field of Wind Power, Thermal Power and Power Transmission is presently generating 2000 MW of electricity.
