Sikkim Transfers 6 Officers; Raj Kumar Yadav IAS to Head WCD & Divyangjan Dept

Indian Bureaucracy News, Gangtok, October 30, 2025 | The Sikkim government has transferred six (06) senior officers from the IAS, IFS, and SCS cadres across key departments, including Education, Planning, Rural Development, and Women and Child Welfare. The reshuffle realigns departmental responsibilities, with Raj Kumar Yadav IAS appointed to head the Women, Child, Senior Citizen and Divyangjan Welfare Department, while Sandeep Tambe IFS takes additional charge of Education. Other officers, including Mingma Tempa Sherpa, Rinzing Chewang Bhutia, Anil Raj Rai, and Norzing Tsering, have also been reassigned to new secretarial roles within the state administration.

  1. Shri Raj Kumar Yadav IAS (Sikkim 2009), presently Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Education Department, is transferred and appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary – Women, Child, Senior Citizen and Divyangjan Welfare Department, Sikkim.
  2. Shri Sandeep Tambe IFS (Sikkim 1996), presently Principal Secretary, Science & Technology Department, Sikkim, is given additional charge of Principal Secretary – Education Department, Sikkim.
  3. Shri Mingma Tempa Sherpa IAS (Sikkim 2011), presently Secretary, Land Revenue & DM Department, is transferred and appointed as Secretary – Planning & Development Department, Sikkim.
  4. Shri Rinzing Chewang Bhutia IAS (Sikkim 2013), presently Secretary, Department of Personnel, Sikkim, with additional charge of Secretary, Planning & Development Department, Sikkim, is relieved of additional charge of Department of Planning & Development, and is given additional charge of Secretary – Land Revenue & Disaster Management Department, Sikkim.
  5. Shri Anil Raj Rai IAS (Sikkim 2013), presently Secretary, Food & Civil Supplies Department, Sikkim, is transferred and appointed as Secretary – Rural Development Department, Sikkim.
  6. Smt Norzing Tsering SCS, presently Secretary, Rural Development Department, is transferred and appointed as Secretary – Food & Civil Supplies Department.
